Making your Family Christmas Card LAST MINUTE!
Hi All! Christmas is around the corner and you may be thinking…”Ahhhh!!!!! I didn’t order my family Christmas card yet”
No WORRIES! I have for you a very CHEAP, EASY & FAST way of doing your Christmas Card.
Have you heard of Pic Monkey?
Pic Monkey is an awesome Free Christmas Card Software that I will show you how to use in a simple & quick format.
This program is what I used to make my Families Christmas Card with. It was super simple and I could just save what I created and send it to Walmart to be printed. PERFECT!
Make a FREE Christmas Card-Tutorial:
BEFORE creating you card I wanted to let you know that Pic Monkey just came out with a Christmas Special!
Sign up for PicMonkey Royale and get a Free 30 day trial! This came out AFTER I had already typed this post and created the tutorial. So I wanted to let you know about it but also want you to know that you can create awesome cards without the “extra’s” as well
Now on with the Christmas Card Tutorial!
PS I made my FIRST EVER TUTORIAL for YOU TUBE! Hope you enjoy it, can you tell I am a tad excited? If you like it care to share the video & subscribe to my fancy new channel?
Pic Monkey STEP ONE:
Click on Collage to make a card like you see above OR Click on Design if you have one photo you will be working around.
(If you have one photo and don’t need the collage option please skip to Step Five.)
Pic Monkey STEP TWO:
It will open a window to your photo’s file. Choose the pictures you want to work with and it will download them into the picmonkey program.
Pic Monkey STEP THREE:
Go to the bottom of the screen and click on the little lock photo, then put in the numbers 1800 by 1200 if you want to do a normal 4 by 7 print.
If you want other size options CLICK HERE and you can choose what you would prefer.
Once you have done this I will leave you up to experimenting with the side bar and dragging your photo’s over as well as adjusting your boxes to where you want them to be. This may take a little experimenting but you will get it!
If you want to adjust your photo’s a small edit box will appear on the top left of each photo once dragged into place. You can do some minor adjustments there if needed.
If you want a color box like I have done on my card just drag the design “paper” into one of the boxes while you are in this step.
Pic Monkey STEP FOUR:
You have your pictures where you want them and left space for some writing. Perfect.
Now click on Edit to add your Text & Graphics. ONCE YOU CLICK EDIT YOU CAN’T GO BACK TO EDIT YOUR PHOTO’S! So make sure they are the way you want them
In Edit mode you will be looking at your collage as one photo.
Pic Monkey STEP FIVE:
There are a lot of options here but I want to keep it simple because we both know this is a last minute thing right?!?
- If you go to the bottom tab on the left that looks like a snowflake you can pick a theme. This can be the easiest as you can choose graphics AND text to match all right here.
- Want other Text options go to the T.
- Want other Graphic options go to the butterfly.
- Want to add things like “string” to an ornament graphic click on the magic wand, scroll almost all the way to the bottom and there will be a draw function.
- Don’t like anything you just added to your card? Click on the back arrow at the top.
- Anything with a Crown beside it you have to pay for but as you can see there are MANY free options.
If you decide you just can’t go without some of the adorable paid options Pic Monkey really isn’t that expensive to use. I have a year membership and I think I paid a little over $30 for the year?
So if you DO want to do this option here is my affiliate link:{PicMonkey photo editor: this is your photo on awesome juice} I appreciate the support, by using this link it doesn’t cost you anything extra but it helps me keep my blog running. Thank you in advance!
Pic Monkey STEP SIX:
SAVE & Email OR develop and mail out!
DONE, now sit back, relax and enjoy some eggnog with that rum
I hope this post has been helpful, if you found that it was please share it on your social media so others may benefit as well! Thank you!
Now off I go to make my Yearly Calendars…..these will be late as I use Mixbook for this Christmas gift! AHHHH!!!!!! At least my Family Christmas Card is finished….phew!
