Crunch time!
In and among-st the Silent Auction I am prepping for (PS it is going SO WELL finally!) I found out our adoption paperwork was once again in need of the dreaded updates….
Dun Dun Dun…..
So we got to work filling out paperwork, asking our friends to fill our referrals, making sure we had our yearly “chat” with our social worker to get our home-study updated and of course realized we should also update our profile book. I recently looked at the photos in the book that is being shown at the moment and *gasp* Roman pretty much looks like a baby in most of the photos! NOT GOOD!

It took a bit but our adoption profile book is finally updated and sent to the printers! What lit the fire for me to get it done recently was that I saw Mixbook was having a 40% off everything sale that would end Feb 25th. And that is as good a sale as I would get even if I contacted them for a “special” discount due to our circumstances.
So thank you mixbook for getting me in gear and finishing this “chore”. I must admit it was the best item to update and it brought me down memory lane, enjoying all the photo’s of my boys over the last two years. Sigh, they have grown up so quickly! AHHH!!!!
I want to show you the new booklet but I just don’t feel like I can until the wait time is over and we have been chosen. Oddly enough (since I share so much on my blog already) I feel a tad too vulnerable sharing this book with you at the moment. Weird, I know. But I kinda figure it’s a good thing I feel this way as it must mean I have been vulnerable sharing myself & our family with a birth mother who may be looking at the book. Because if anybody should see my most vulnerable side I think it should be our birth mother.
I can tell you that I love creating our books through Mixbook because I can order a larger book but still in a soft cover. I tend to order there 8.5×11″ Classic Portrait Photo Book in soft cover. How sad is it that I have a “usual”. Oh well, that’s life I suppose.
We have been waiting 3 years now so I hope the 4th is the charm!
