It’s official, I have been blogging for a full year!!! Yahoo!!!!
Some of you reading this may be surprised it has only been a year. I have come a long way in such a short time 
I started this blog on a whim. One night I decided I couldn’t find a good adoption “mommy blog” online so I figured I would start my own. Just like that and a few short days later my first blog was up and “running”. I SO wish I took a screen shot of it because it has changed A LOT in one year.
One thing I am thankful for is that I paid for 3 years of website hosting right off the bat. I figured I was “dutch” enough that if it was paid for I would continue through the frustrating times and hopefullly celebrate on the other side.
Today is the day for me to CELEBRATE this blogging milestone!

I did want to quit a few times when I felt I wasn’t reaching anyone and a few more times when I realized that there ARE many great adoption mommy blogs! But slowly I would get emails that were so uplifting and encouraging. Messages from readers saying that I helped them, encouraged them or challenged them.
YAY! I was making an impact!
So to give you the idea of the growth my blog has had in the last year I would like to share with you a few numbers.
Unique Visitors: is a “visitor type” report that will count each visitor to your website only once during the date range you have selected. If the visitor was on your site prior to the date range selected this visitor would be sub-classified as a prior visitor. If the visitor did not land on your site prior to date range selected for the report they are classified as a first time visitor.
Page Views: A count of how many times your web page has been viewed by one visitor.
The below are my numbers that are counted EACH MONTH not added up. So each month my stats are recounted and this is the outcome:
1 month into Blogging:
In March had 364 Unique Visitors to my website and 1313 Page Views. I am assuming most of these were curious and/or supportive friends and family….
6 months into Blogging:
In August I had 1213 Unique Visitors to my website and 2488 Page Views. Slowly climbing, I must admit I was a tad frustrated at this point and wasn’t sure if my effort was worth the outcome.
1 year into Blogging:
This past month of February I have had 10417 Unique Visitors to my website and 16632 Page Views! Yahoo! Now THAT is worth continuing for
A BIG thank-you to all of you have have encouraged me by private message or a comment on a post. It is the real connections that are made through blogging that keep me fired up to continue to keep my Website active. Sharing what I hope is relevant content & encouraging stories
