NEVER have I had that chance before and so I jumped at it….not only because this was a new opportunity for me but also because I was SO EXCITED that this book was coming to fruition. A Book I looked for Waaaaaaay back when and never found. What a thrill to find out that my review was quoted and put into this book

This Adoption journal and Devotional book has 52 inspiring devotionals as well as space for you to journal as you go. Co-written by Rachel Garlinghouse & Madeleine Melcher this book is full of personal stories shared by these two women that along with God’s Biblical teachings are so inspiring for those traveling the road of adoption. Rachel is a mother through adoption and Madeleine is an Adoptee as well as a mother through adoption. Of course these titles are not all of who they are, we all carry many labels that create our whole selves. But these two women took their experience with these particular titles and, with the help of God’s Word, were able to write this book.
A devotional that is an uplifting and encouraging book for those who soon may have the title of “Mother through Adoption” themselves.
Oh what a blessing this book will be to those in that painful waiting (to adopt) stage! I would have loved to have found this kind of daily devotional encouragement back when I was first waiting to adopt. Feeling so alone in those early days I was desperate to find this kind of mentor-ship. To be reminded to lean on God and his word by two women who have traveled the road ahead of you is incredibly encouraging and will bring hope to those in waiting.
I highly recommend this devotional for anyone walking their own personal adoption journey.
